As soon as you enter the front door of Blackheath Getaway, it feels like coming home. The original wooden cottage built in the 1930’s has been lovingly restored maintaining the quaint features of the time along with all the mod cons, making for a truly welcoming, traditional Blue Mountains experience. Polished floorboards, a cosy open fire and beautiful antique furniture are complimented by central heating, two newly renovated bathrooms, modern kitchen and TVs in every room. The charming home is surrounded by an enchanting garden where blossoms and bulbs bloom in the Spring, Rhododendrons bloom in the winter months and the trees turn the rich colours of Autumn. Nestled in the thick of the Heritage Listed Blue Mountains, with beautiful Blackheath at your front door the hardest decision you’ll make here is whether to stay in or explore this stunning region. Sleeps up to six people. The cottage has three bedrooms (two queen beds and a king bed which can be converted to two singles), two newly renovated bathrooms, a modern kitchen, lounge room with open fireplace and TVs and wifi in all rooms. There is a large back deck with gas BBQ and a fully equipped laundry. TV/Wifi: All three bedrooms are fitted with televisions and there’s also a large screen TV, DVD and stereo in the lounge room. Wifi is available throughout the house. Kitchen: There’s a gas stove as well as an original fuel stove for those who love to reminisce on times gone by, which has cooked many delicious delights over the last 50 years! All cooking essentials are taken care of with a gorgeous china dinner set for serving. Heating: Central heating is in every room as well as a large open fire in the lounge room in front of an inviting leather Chesterfield lounge. Deck and garden: The north facing rear deck is bathed in warm yellow light, the ideal place to catch the morning and afternoon sun, overlooking the picturesque back garden. Gas BBQ: on the rear deck. Blackheath Getaway is just a ten minute walk from the train station and the charming village of Blackheath, with a host of charming pubs, cafes and restaurants. There is something for everyone where antique stores, clothing, gifts, pamper treatments, fresh produce, tarot readings and crystal healings await. The World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains are right at your doorstep. The cottages is just a five minute walk from beautiful Blackheath Rhododendrons Gardens, and just a short stroll to Popes Glenn which leads to one of the most spectacular views in the Blue Mountains from Govetts Leap. A short drive leads you to the Kanimbla and Megalong Valleys.
