Richard and I are both 6th generation Tasmanian and are passionate about our family history and our connection to the land. We operate our farm along with our son Will, producing a range of grass seeds, cereals, poppies and vegetables along with cattle and sheep. Our tourism operation has been running for nearly 30 years with accommodation in restored convict built cottages and more recently built rustic farm cottages and we now offer a beautiful site for intimate weddings and celebrations. We are owner operators and would very much enjoy meeting you during your stay with us.

Brickendon has been in our family since 1824 being one of Australia's oldest family farming properties. Our children are the 7th generation to grow up on Brickendon and we currently have three generations sharing the Main Homestead. The original property was established by convict labour and we were recognised by UNESCO in 2010 along with Woolmers Estate by being one of the eleven "Australian Convict Sites" . Tthe property has an original convict built farm village, beautiful heritage listed gardens, a convict walk to Woolmers and plenty of friendly farm animals so there is lots to do while staying with us.

Longford is set in the Norfolk Plains which takes it name from the original settlers from Norfolk Island. Rolling hills, hawthorn hedgerows and many historic sites gives an impression of a mini England. Longford is known for its historic buildings, car and horse racing and is located in the centre of Tasmania's rich farming countryside. We are only 20 minutes drive from the Launceston Airport and 25 minutes drive to Launceston and the Tamar Valley wine route. To our West is the delightful drive to Deloraine and Latrobe where you will find many stops for delicious food and antiques wares.
