Built in 1870, Marigold Cottage is one of the oldest and prettiest original miner’s cottages in Daylesford, just a short walk to the town centre, with beautiful views over the township. Our charming and cosy two bedroom home is set in a mature wraparound garden, with a raised deck and a fire pit area - and plenty of local birdlife!

April 2025 – November 2025 Please note there is some weekday construction works at neighbouring properties, which may mean some noise and tradies in the area. These have been reflected in reduced rates for Sunday – Thurs night stays, work is daytime only, and should not affect weekend breaks. ------------------------------ Marigold Cottage is set in a residential lane with very little through traffic. There is a paddock at the end of the street that you will often see kangaroos in at dawn and dusk! Turn out of the house and walk for under a minute to the right. The area has lots of bird life, and there are many cockatoos and parrots that you will see in the garden. It is approx 8-10 minutes walk to the town centre (Coles end), and under 15 minutes walk to Lake Daylesford. You can also walk up to the Sunday market and Wombat Hill in around 10 minutes - depending on your uphill energy levels! Hepburn Springs is approx 5 mins drive from Daylesford if you are visiting for a spa weekend. There is parking for two cars in the driveway, but we recommend that you walk around the beautiful area to admire the views.
