We chose to build this Bed and Breakfast with privacy and close proximity to other places in mind. The large picture windows which face the native bushland give a feeling of being a long way from the hussle and bussle of life.
Each pavilion has its own bathroom and two of them have lovely outdoor decks. They are joined by an internal staircase but not adjoining walls. It is a perfect setting for a group of three couples to be together and still have privacy and their own space.
In our other life Andrew was a solicitor and I was a nurse. After becoming a mother I then ventured into the retail work by buying and running a stall at the wonderful Central Market in Adelaide. This exposed me to many overseas visitors and I loved talking to them about our native plants which I also sold. Retiring from this we decided to build an "Australian" style Bed and Breakfast in the Adelaide Hills. So we did a course on "How to run a B & B" and then I ventured on to study Tourism. Our aim was to give our guests a truly Australian experience in a bushland setting but close to all amenities. I believe we have achieved our goal.
We love what we do and never get sick of meeting new and interesting people and hopefully helping them to take home some wonderful memories of Australia especially our beautiful Adelaide Hills
The Adelaide Hills are unique in that they have a village atmosphere yet just 30 minutes from the centre of Adelaide.
Their cool leafy environment is relaxing and enjoyable. There are many wineries to explore. It is a wonderful place to stay from where to explore the rest of the state - just one hour to the Barossa Valley, 50 minutes to McLaren Vale and an hour to the river Murray. We have cheesemakers, beer makers and many other exciting businesses.
