Friendly hosts. Proximity to Bangalow yet in a lovely rural setting. Cottage is impeccably clean and cosy. Spacious enough for family of three. Great wifi. Our second visit- will definitely come again.

Privacy, everything you could need. The queen bed was very comfortable.

Gorgeous cottage with the perfect surroundings to relax and unwind! Close enough to Bangalow for morning coffee/pastry run and not much further to the “big smoke” Byron for the shopping and theatre.

There's no breakfast (not a B&B). However, the owners provide a range of good quality cookwares so we can make or own food. The dinner set is particularly beautiful. They were very obliging and lent us special kitchen utensils we needed for...

Coco's Cottage is a beautifully restored Queenslander house that was built in the 1890's, with loads of character and charm. Coco's Cottage is surrounded by a lush tropical garden and a spacious deck which allows our guests to relax and take in the beautiful bird life and the stunning views to the rolling hills of the hinterland. "Stunning", "heaven on earth", "didn't want to leave"....these have been real guest comments. A standalone cottage separate from the main house, there is much privacy. Coco's is close to Byron Bay, Bangalow, Federal, Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby. The best beaches of Byron Bay are just 15min away, so guests get to enjoy the best of both worlds - the serenity and beauty of the Byron Bay hinterland coupled with the sun and fun at Byron Bay beaches. Guests can explore all these wonderful places during the day, then come back to the cottage and enjoy a beautiful sunset on the deck or, in the cooler months, snuggle in front of the fire inside the cottage. There is also an outdoor communal fire pit on our 3-acre property.
Col and I have lived and worked around the world and therefore deeply appreciate what we now have in Byron Bay. Where we are is just fabulous for the body and soul. Yoga and body surfing are favourite activities of ours. We also enjoy bush and beach walking, and there are so many amazing walks for visitors to the region to experience. There is a beautiful waterfall just ten minutes from our property. We enjoy meeting people from all around the world and welcome all to experience the charm of Coco's Cottage. We try to be around to welcome guests when they arrive, even as we provide door key safe for contactless check in. The door key safe code is passed to guests a day before check-in. All levels of desired privacy will be respected. We are happy to socialise or keep our distance, all up to guest preferences.
There are so many things to do in this general region, depending on how active guests wish to be. Sun and surf lovers will head to the best beaches of Clarkes beach, Main beach, The Pass and Wategos. For a more relaxed hinterland experience, take advantage of the many nature walks in the area, including a few waterfalls of note such as the Minyon Falls. The walks at the Lighthouse are also not to be missed, with many frequent sightings of whales and dolphins. Nearby are the charming townships of Bangalow and Newrybar where you will discover some excellent cafes and restaurants. We are happy to recommend the best restaurants and cafes when you get to Coco's, such as The Farm and Harvest. There are also lots of interesting shops in the area to browse and shop. Not far up the road from Coco's is a special place called the Crystal Castle, with amazing gardens and crystals from all around the world, worth a visit.
