Live like a local in Morpeth, the historic heart of the Hunter Valley. Enjoy country village life at this peaceful and centrally located authentic Morpeth cottage (circa 1890), just 250 metres from the main street and the Hunter River. Stroll along the cobbled paths to cafes, specialty stores and a local Cellar Door with a fabulous restaurant. Have a traditional pub lunch or a fabulous High Tea or visit Morpeths award winning UAINE Candles for a unique candle experience.

Elendar is in a quiet residential area just 250 metres from the main street, restaurants, shops, cafes and pubs. In our tiny village of Morpeth (1300 people) you can walk everywhere. The Morpeth Museum has a walking guide of historical sites (including the School of Arts and Murphy’s House across the road from Elendar). They also have a guide to some of Morpeth’s notable historic houses which includes Elendar. If you’d like a guided tour of the village you can catch a ride on the Clydesdale drawn buggy. If you are interested in exploring the region you will need a car. There are taxis and limousine services to take guests to the wine region (about 40 minutes away) and UBER is also available.
