The cabin has been designed special needs friendly with all doorways within the cabin 900mm wide. Fully insulated cabin with reverse cycle air conditioning available. Carport parking available. Plenty of room to park your boat or trailer. Built in 2020 with the cabin being furnished to a very high standard. Kookaburra's Rest Cabin 2: 1 Bedroom Queen bed with ensuite, lounge dining table, Continental Breakfast. The cabin is designed special needs friendly, ensuite door 900mm wide. Television able to be viewed from loungeroom and bedroom. Fully insulated/heated cabin with Carport parking. Cabin completed in 2024 with the cabin furnished to a very high standard. Platypus Hollow Cabin1: Is a mirror image of Kookaburra's Rest which is positioned right next door completed 2024.

All 3 cabins are now completed. We have designed the cabins to assist people with special needs. We moved to Meander in 2017, and have built the cabin and caravan park from scratch. We are currently installing a games area with outdoor Chess Board, Roman Numeral Hopscotch, Mini Putt Putt course and many other things to come. We welcome people to the park to enjoy the tranquil setting which is around us. Our location is unique as we have the country atmosphere environment being amongst agricultural/dairy land and small village lifestyle.

Our location allows us to enjoy the views of the snow in the winter on the mountain tops around us. Magical fishing spots in the Meander River and Huntsman Lake, which had been used for the World Flyfishing Championships. At our back door are walking trails, major fresh water flyfishing facilities, Meander Wilderness Experiences covering water-rafting in the Meander River, waterfalls and caves. Being situated in the central north area of Tasmania we are amongst the renown Tasting Trail and within an hour of Both Launceston and Devonport. Day trips have been conducted by our guests to such areas as Cradle Mountain, North Coast, Great Lakes area and 'THE WALL', to name a few. Some of the best food and eating/drinking places are at our backdoor. Meander Cafe/Bistro is situated within the village which is well known and a drive down the road to Deloraine, is one of the major towns visited within Tasmania.
