Messmates offers luxury accommodation in Inverloch consisting of two luxurious eco suites with king beds and deep soaking baths overlooking the wetland. Located on the edge of Inverloch it creates a quiet haven to escape too yet is close enough to enjoy everything Inverloch has to offer. The entire property (excluding the nursery/fruit tree area) has undergone an intensive revegetation comprising some 150 species of indigenous plants sourced from the local area - South Gippsland and this project is ongoing. Virtually all plants have been propagated by Chris who has been involved in conservation of National Parks, propagation of rare species and revegetation projects for over 25 years. The property is an interpretation of what the coastal forests of Inverloch might have looked like prior to white settlement.

Chris is constantly outside working on the property. You'll quite often find him in his propagation area growing plants or in the food forest where we have a number of fruit trees and the veggie garden. If you're interested in growing vegetables or propagation of plants then Chris is more than willing to provide you with some pointers. His passion is the environment and revegetating our property for wildlife. He has created a peaceful bush setting which we are so lucky to enjoy as well as a home for our native wildlife. Jo loves to cook, hike, relax and create bath products. She also enjoys making cocktails and walking around the property in the evening with a glass of wine. When she's not at home helping Chris you'll find her exploring the gorgeous Gippsland countryside. She loves to make guests feel welcome and wants your time at Messmates to be a wonderful experience ensuring that when you leave the property you feel well rested and relaxed. She loves to leave little surprises. Chris and Jo are happy to spend time chatting with their guests but totally respect your privacy if you prefer to be alone and give you the space to relax and reconnect.

Messmates is nestled in a private conservation estate in Inverloch. Located 3klms from the local surf beach and 3klms from the centre of town enables you to enjoy all that the region has to offer and then return to your suite for a bit of relaxation. There are a number of beaches to explore, places like Phillip Island or the beautiful Wilsons Promontory. Otherwise spend a day relaxing at the local day spa followed by an evening out a one of the restaurants in town. Messmates is all about slowing down, winding down and just enjoying spending time together.
