Nest is a luxury vineyard cottage retreat, purpose built accommodation nestled into Waterton Hall Shiraz Vineyard. Combining old-world charm of the historic Ironing Room with new build. It has a king bed as well as a Queen sofa bed. Nest is perfect for 1 or 2 couples, or a couple with 1 child. The historic Ironing Room is at the heart of the Nest experience. It features a modular sofa in the Living Room which folds out to a comfortable Queen bed to accommodate another couple or 1 child (for extra fee). Picture yourself by the wood heater, stacked with split wood. After luxuriating in the Slumberland Plush King bed, (in separate King Bedroom), and the walk-in shower, savour your provided continental breakfast of local wood fired bread, spreads, cereals, milk, tea and coffee. Nest is sustainable and eco-friendly! Note- Nest is not suitable for crawlers or toddlers. Older children are welcome.

It is situated at Waterton Hall, an historic estate set in magnificent heritage gardens on the Tamar River at Rowella, 40 minutes drive north of Launceston, an hour from Launceston Airport. With 25 acres of vines, producing Award-winning Shiraz, Viognier, and Riesling and newly available in 2022 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, a stay at Waterton Hall is on every wine lover’s bucket list. Walkable within 0.5 km from Nest is The Lavender Farm, Iron Pot Bay Vineyard and Holm Oak Cellar Doors. Within 12 km Goaty Hill, Loira, Winterbrook, Swinging Gate, Glendale and Moore’s Hill Cellar Doors. Several of these neighbouring vineyards have lunches daily or on weekends.
