Morgan and Nicole Lorimer, along with their 3 children Colton, Mia and Savannah invite you to share their property in the beautiful Ooraminna escarpment ranges just outside of Alice Springs. Meet Scruffy Coco the Deerhound, Juniper the pig and Stumbles the three legged goat. As graziers we spend our lives growing and nurturing domestic livestock and pets alike. We offer you the opportunity to get very close to the animals during your stay and interact with the family and staff to ask questions and enjoy the unique ambiance that the cattle station provides. There are many lovely walking trails to explore, a billabong to sit beside to watch the birds, and fauna. In this challenging new world we strive to achieve to meet every guests expectations. We have been living and running cattle in the Northern Territory since 2003. Ooraminna Station Homestead, our new home, is the perfect place to offer guests a glimpse into cattle station life and the feeling of living in a remote location in Outback Australia. Stay in one of our luxury cabins, a beautifully appointed glamping tent or sleep under the stars in a swag like we do when we're mustering. The choice is yours all in the safety and privacy of Ooraminna Station Homestead. Only 30km from Alice Springs we welcome you to 600 acres of pure outback experience in this magnificent Semi Arid desert cattle country that we live and breed cattle in. We welcome you. DIRECTIONS TO OORAMINNA STATION HOMESTEAD Please note that the only way to Ooraminna Station is via the Maryvale Road. DO NOT follow google maps towards Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood information

You can explore many parts of the Alice region if you use Ooraminna Station Homestead as a base during your travels. Easy day trips will get you as far as Ormiston Gorge, via Simpsons Gap and Standly Chasm in the West MacDonnell ranges, or Trephina Gorge in the East MacDonnell ranges. Ewaninga ancient rock carvings are only 4km down the road, don't forget to pay a visit there during your stay. Alice Springs is a half hour drive by car. We recommend a trip to the Desert park to see the desert flowers in full bloom along the garden paths and the magnificent aviaries. The Royal Flying Doctor Museum is only on of many museums in Alice Springs, well worth a visit. The RFDS (along with Careflight) have saved many cattlemen's lives over time. We urge you to take care of your belongings and park your vehicle in a secure place if visiting the centre of town. There is notable delinquency but you will also note the police presence. Don't let this deter you from a wonderful stroll up the Todd Mall to see the galleries. Enjoy Alice Springs, there is so much to do and see..
