The Space
The Surf Cottage harks back to another era, when living and spaces were simple. As one of the last-remaining Queenslanders in town and wholly original in design and features, you'll step back in time at the Surf Cottage in Pottsville Beach while in the heart of everything this increasingly-popular Tweed Coast village has to offer - shops, surf, beach and bush. The Surf Cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, sunroom, TV-lounge with fold-out sofa bed for extra friends or family to stay, a bathroom with claw-foot bath and cosy dining room with central table. The Surf Cottage provides an affordable getaway 'of old' for families, groups of friends, couples, the solo traveller or as a 'home away from home' if working on the Tweed, Gold Coast or Byron regions.
Guest access
The Surf Cottage is the front house on the property with a second, private residence at the back. Access to the Surf Cottage is via the front yard entrance or through a shared breezeway at the rear. Free, on-site parking is available for 1 vehicle off the main driveway with ample, free parking available on-street. The rear, private premises and yard are not accessible to guests of the Surf Cottage.

Jayme & Margi have lived in the Northern Rivers area, on and off, since 1990. They run established Surf and SUP Schools in the Tweed and Byron Shires, which include surf accommodation.
During your stay
The Surf Lodge is a fully self-contained Queenslander house, enjoyed exclusively by guests during their stay.

Drive or cycle to nearby Cabarita Beach or Kingscliff, it's a scenic 30-minute drive to the artsy, art-deco town of Murwillumbah - gateway to the lush Tweed Valley Hinterland - and just 25-minutes' drive to Byron Bay and Bangalow.
Getting around: Everything you need in Pottsville is within short walking distance (~2-minutes) from The Surf Cottage - shops, cafes, markets, Creek, ocean - and the main bus stop.
Take the 603 'Townie' bus for a magical tour of the Tweed Coast including Cabarita Beach, Casuarina, Salt Village and Kingscliff before arriving at Tweed City shopping centre with connecting bus services to the Gold Coast; Gold Coast International Airport; and train services to Brisbane.
The Route 616 bus takes you to Murwillumbah via the charming hinterland villages of Mooball and Burringbar.
Ride share 'Uber' services Pottsville Beach from Tweed Heads and the Gold Coast/Airport, with local taxis and complementary shuttle buses also available from various locations and participating Sports Clubs/venues.
