Our place is intended primarily as a simple, off grid, back to nature, outdoor experience whilst still providing a retreat with all the essential creature comforts at night. Guests will enjoy their own company in privacy and tranqullity, tucked away from neighbouring farms and the road. The shack is accessed via a short, gently sloping walk (approx 40m) across the paddock and the entire place and surrounding natural environment is yours to enjoy in peace, so bring your walking boots! The primary living space is outdoors, undercover on a generous verandah. Here, an outdoor kitchen includes a BBQ, burners, dining table and seating. Inside is a queen bed, hot shower, bar refrigerator and deep sink. Relax & enjoy a roaring campfire in the large firepit overlooking the valley & watch the evening light fade away…

I am grateful everyday to live here in the beautiful Tweed Valley. I love the rural life in Carool and at the same time it's close proximity to the magnificent surf beaches allows me to pursue my water sports! I'm so happy to share this experience with my guests. I thrive on seeing people enjoy an escape to the country away from fast paced everyday life and become revitalised! The back to nature bush experience never fails to reset and infuse us all with fresh and peaceful energy.

The Carool area itself is a mountain, primarily farmland, with a wedding venue and school camping venue closeby. It's tucked away tranquility up here but the buzz of the Gold Coast is much closer than you would imagine. There is always something happening on the Gold Coast! From international surfing competitions at Snapper Rocks, Australian Surf Life Saving Competition, the Cooly Rocks 50s themed car show, to weekend markets and the Pacific Air Show. Theme parks including Movie World, Seaworld, Wet n Wild only about 40 mins are always popular. Theres also great cafes, bars and nightclubs, not to mention world class surf beaches for sunbathing, chilling and swimming or chasing quality waves! To the South, in the Tweed Valley, visitors can explore pretty, historical Murwillumbah 25 minutes drive away, laid back Mullumbimby, Nimbin town, Brunswick Heads and in just under an hour you can be in the iconic Byron Bay!
