Painters Island Holiday Park is located just a short walk over the footbridge from the Wangaratta CBD, close to all major supermarkets, speciality shops, cafes and restaurants. We are situated on 20 acres on the banks of the Ovens River with a variety of accommodation options to suit everyone.
It is the perfect location to base yourself while you head out and explore the beautiful region that is the North East of Victoria. From the award-winning wineries and gourmet food regions of the King Valley and Milawa. To the natural beauty of our national parks and heritage rich history of areas such as Glenrowan and Beechworth. There is something for the whole family.
Painters Island Holiday park is an independant Park located on Crown land founded in 1927.
The Park is proudly managed by a voulnteer committee, park managers and a local team.
All income generated is reinvested directly into maintaining and improving the facilities for all guests to enjoy
The Park is located 300 meters from the Wangaratta RSL, numerous restaurants and the main shopping center of Wangaratta, the Murray to Mountain rail trail runs alongside our Park
