Hello, we manage and reside at Pelican Point in one of the apartments. We undertake all work associated with the office, accommodation and cleaning, in addition to ground maintenance. The chances are you will eventually meet us sitting on the mower or watering plants. We're always up for a chat and are happy to share what we know about the district. We are from Hobart, drawn to the slower-paced Hobart that was, so when we spotted this extraordinary parkland/grassland/wetland just on the outskirts of St Helens we moved in :) For us it's a hobby and business combined. We are constantly trying to improve the many and varied aspects of the business. We're pitching to fellow nature lovers, people who are interested in walking the land, spotting the birdlife, settling in for a long sit to photograph or drink wine. Pelican Point offers 3 frontages to water, the George River, Georges Bay and Grannies Gut waterway. At Pelican Point we're all about birds. The property is a unique wetland and grassland located 2 kms from St Helens and 8 kms from Bay of Fires. We offer you free roam of the 87 acres to discover some of the 48 species of birds that have been identified living/nesting here. Make use of the binoculars, the bird guide, the Pelican Point birdlife app and our private bird hide. It's mostly nature and quiet although at night be prepared to listen to the call of frogs, cicadas and some of the feathered residents.
