Penghana is a Heritage listed property built in 1898. Originally owned by the Mt Lyell Mining and Railway Company it was home to 11 General Managers until the late 1996, when its ownership was transferred to National Trust Tasmania and the house was established as a Bed & Breakfast business. The house has a rich history and is a fine example of yesteryear grandeur including ornate fireplaces, lead light entrance, magnificent blackwood staircase, attic and spacious rooms. Current business owners have been onsite hosts since 2015. Today Penghana B&B is well known for spoiling guests and offering a memorable B&B experience with silver service.
Your hosts purchased Penghana B&B business in December 2015. Under their stewardship they have brought new life to the house updating many facilities and decor as well as adding creature comforts and many extra touches for their guests.
