Magnificent private ocean views over the beautiful township of Penguin and beach. Penguin is 30 mins drive from Devonport where the Spirit of Tasmania berths each day. Our home is surrounded by 2 acres of hillside with resident sheep creating a peaceful rural setting only 5 minutes stroll to the beach and local coffee shops.
Your room has ocean views, Smart TV, free wi-fi, a heater and an electric blanket.
Our home is warm and light with large double-glazed windows facing north, overlooking Bass Strait and offering the same stunning views from the breakfast table.
Your hosts, Wayne and Sue, are a friendly retired couple who enjoy welcoming guests to their home and to the area. Wayne has lots of local knowledge and can assist you with information about local attractions, activities, markets, restaurants, cafe's and shopping.
We have 2 Border Collie dogs, a 3 year old and a puppy who loves to play.
Penguin is a delightful seaside town on the north-west coast of Tasmania. We have 2 Platypus in our local pond (1 Km away), a beautiful beach for walking and swimming, the well known Penguin Markets, local cafe's and restaurants.
Penguin is a convenient location to stay for a few days and make use of day trips to visit nearby natural attractions such as waterfalls, rivers, walking tracks, beaches, markets and interesting towns.
Some local waterfalls are Dip Falls, Guide Falls, Liffy Falls and Preston Falls.
Other popular attractions are Cradle Mountain, Stanley's Nut, Trowutta Cave, Fossil Beach and Leven Canyon.
Local rivers such as Cam River, Leven River, Forth River and Blythe River are great for Kayaking (all within 30 mins drive).
Free Penguin tours are available at Lillico Beach or at Burnie are just 15 mins drive away.
