Quamby Estate is professionally managed to ensure every stay runs seamlessly, with a dedicated team who care for both the homestead and its 150-acre grounds. While the estate is offered as exclusive-use accommodation, guests have peace of mind knowing that staff are available on site. The golf shop is staffed six days a week to assist visitors, provide local knowledge, and manage public play on the heritage 9-hole course. In addition, greenkeepers are present on site seven days a week, maintaining the immaculate fairways, gardens, and landscapes that surround the estate. This level of care ensures the property is always presented at its very best while respecting the privacy of in-house guests. Step into history at Quamby Estate, a grand 1830s homestead set on 150 acres of pristine Tasmanian countryside. Just 20 minutes from Launceston, this heritage property is now offered exclusively as a private hire, making it the perfect retreat for groups, family celebrations, or corporate gatherings.
With accommodation for up to 20 guests across 10 elegantly appointed bedrooms, Quamby Estate blends period charm with modern comfort. Rooms feature antique furnishings, luxurious bedding, and ensuites with deep bathtubs or rainfall showers. The estate is yours alone during your stay — from the chandelier-lit ballroom and library with leather chairs, to the whisky bar, dining room, and wraparound verandas overlooking manicured gardens.
Outdoors, enjoy endless backdrops: sweeping lawns, lakeside views, tree-lined avenues, and a 9-hole golf course. Guests also have the option to hire the glassed standalone Events Pavilion — a light-filled, modern space ideal for yoga, private dinners, workshops, or small celebrations.
Please note: Quamby Estate is available only as a whole-of-house exclusive hire or half hire of 5 suites. Weddings and events are welcomed but attract additional costs by direct negotiation.
