All appliances were supplied for our use and plenty of utensils and cutlery. Bread, butter, cereals, milk, coffee and tea were provided. The fridge was of ample size and we were able to make use of the freezer. Seating, dining room and bedding were very comfortable. Bed linen and pillows were supplied. Location was quiet and central to our daily fishing and touring. Our hosts were very accommodating, ensuring that our stay was enjoyable.

It made self catering very easy as there was everything you could need in a kitchen and a full sized fridge. The location was excellent, a short walk to the beach and main street.

The unit is located close to the ocean with great walking trails to places like Bay of Shoals. Groups of seals can usually be found relaxing close to the pier which is only a short walk away. Good fishing can be enjoyed from the pier with delicious King George whiting not uncommon. Ask your hosts if a fishing rod is available. Only a short drive away is Bay of Shoals winery which also hosts a farmers' market on most Sundays. Many wineries, distilleries and breweries are located just outside the town as is cheese making from sheep milk. Honey farms and a eucalyptus distillery are only a short drive away. There is no public transport in Kingscote but most places are within walking distance. Car hire is available. We use and recommend Budget. On street car parking is plentiful, free and safe.
