Kookaburra Place is a spacious (100sqm) self contained garden apartment in leafy surrounds. Offering two queen bedrooms, lounge and dining, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet - it's your home away from home! 1 x single fold-out sofa bed is available in the living area. Guest access is via separate entrance. We live upstairs on the property so we're available for answering queries and offering local area advice, but if it's absolute privacy you're after we offer a key lockbox for contactless check-in and we will respect your space. There are 15 steps down to your front door, but the privacy and bush views are worth it! If you need help with your bags, please just ask. We are not suited for those with mobility issues. Woolworths and Aldi (groceries) and Dan Murphy (liquor) are 5 minutes away for all your self-catering requirements. A short walk to the train station with shops, cafés, pharamcies and The SAN Hospital nearby. Accessible to the City by car, bus or train. 15 mins drive to Macquarie Park shops and business hub. 10 mins drive to Westfield Hornsby. LONG STAY GUESTS - we supply a generous starter pack of amenities, thereafter it's self-catering. Mid-stay cleaning is available on request, fees apply. Relax on the terrace, listen to the birds, light up the BBQ. And look out for our friendly kookaburras... but please don't feed them. Your home away from home!

We love to travel and our preference is private, self catering accommodation - somewhere that feels like home after a wonderful day exploring. At Kookaburra Place we have tried to include all the amenities and thoughtful little extras that delight us when we travel: books, big fluffy towels, good coffee, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, free WiFi and a desk for your laptop. If there is anything we've overlooked that will make your stay more enjoyable, please do let us know. Kookaburra Place is situated in lovely leafy surrounds, with Lane Cove National Park and beautiful bushwalks close by. Guests are often surprised to find themselves immersed in nature yet just a short commute to the bustling Sydney CBD. Local shops are 5 minutes away for all your self-catering requirements. Shopping bags are provided, plus a shopping cart if you prefer to walk to the shops. SAN Hospital (private) and Hornsby Hospital (public) are nearby, as are pharmacies and other medical facilities. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants in the local area, most offering delivery. Thornleigh train station and local bus stop are within walking distance. Sydney CBD is a 30 min drive away. Hornsby Westfield is 10 minutes away and Macquarie Park is 15 minutes away. If you want to explore greater Sydney, having your own car is recommended.
