Hi, I’m Katya — welcome to Lazy Days on Shaws Bay!
I’m so happy you’ve found your way here. Whether you're here to slow down, soak up the views, or explore the beautiful coastline, I hope you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
Hosting is something I truly love. It brings me so much joy to create a space where people can unwind, breathe a little deeper, and make special memories — whether it’s a romantic getaway, a weekend with your pup, or a few days to reset by the water.
My background is in environmental science, and I’ve spent years working in some pretty wild and wonderful places — from marine reserves and national parks to deep-sea expeditions. Nature has always been my happy place, and it’s a big part of why I chose to live and host here. There’s so much to enjoy just outside your door — walks by the bay, dolphin-spotting, beach swims, and the sound of the ocean at night.
I’m also a bit of a foodie and always happy to share my favourite local cafés, restaurants, and wine spots — from casual bites to hidden gems with amazing views. There’s something special about this part of the world, and I love helping guests experience it the way locals do.
If you need anything during your stay, or just want a tip on where to grab a great coffee or catch a sunset, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thanks for choosing Lazy Days — I’m so glad you’re here.
