Just between Ross River Rd, Charles St and Bamford Lane it is also close to Woolworths at Parkside Plaza, Riverway Pool and the Willows Shopping Centre.

Kirwan is close to Townsville's Stockland Shopping Centre, Hospital and University. It is also only a 5 min drive from the family friendly Riverway Pool and the Cowboys Rugby League Football Stadium. A short walk across the river the Riverside Tavern offers good food and drinks with a cool evening view of Ross River. Although it is possible to get around Townsville by bus or bicycle because of the North Queensland heat and strong sun most people choose to use a car. Townsville is a relatively small city with a good road system allowing you to go from Kirwan across town to the The Strand beach in only 20 mins.
