Stamps of Stanley is situated on Church St (main Street) of Stanley. The rooms are part of the Stanley Post Office which is where you need to come to "Check-In". The building was built in 1897 as the original "Customs House & Telephone Exchange". Some guests have called it quirky, many guests say we have the "Wow" factor. Every restaurant and shop in Stanley in within easy walking distance from us. We do have gorgeous views that overlook "The GreenHills", "Tatlow's Beach" and the iconic "Nut". Even though we are on the main street, our rooms are so peaceful and quiet at night.
If you are into photography, there are so many spectacular scenes catering to all tastes. You can do a food and wine tasting trail, get up close and personal with penguins or do our heritage trail around town. The "Nut" is at your front door waiting to be climbed or have a chairlift ride up. Around the top there is a 2 kilometre easy walking circuit with a rainforest, spectacular views overlooking Bass Strait or Stanley with our two beautiful beaches. We have the first house "heritage" where settlers began farming along with out lying buildings like the stables and church which are being lovingly restored. Many weddings are held at "Highfield Historic House" because of the "Old world charm" Stanley can offer you fishing charters or a seal cruise or you can fish from one of our two wharf's. The "little" wharf is part of the movie set for "Light Between Oceans" a Dreamworks movie that will air early 2016.
