The Tree House, Denmark is a landmark holiday home in Wheedon Hill. Sitting high nestling between two tall karri trees the home is also surrounded by giant granite boulders and one of them rises up through the floor and in to the living room...
The living space is a large double height space with open plan kitchen and dining. Apart from the feature granite boulder the space opens out to a large cantilevered deck with great views of the forest with inlet glimpses.
The accommodation comprises of one main bedroom with a queen size bed and a mezzanine sleeping loft, again with a queen size bed.
NOTE: The mezzanine is accessed by ladder (see photos) so not suitable for young children or elderly/infirm. For all else its the best place to sleep!
We have a free cot and baby bath for under twos who visit for free.
The bathroom has a double ended spa bath as well as a stand alone shower.
There is a great curved glass wood burning heater (imported especially from that other Denmark...) but also air conditioning, for both summer and winter. The house is new and well insulated and comfortable any time of year.
Weedon Hill is a forrested area half way between Denmark and Ocean Beach.
I live with my young family in Fremantle near Perth and we have friends in the Denmark region. For us it's an obvious place for holidays. The house will be booked out by us sometimes...
Denmark is in the heart of the Great Southern region which includes Albany and Walpole as well. the area has stunning forrests and stunning beaches and this is matched by great wineries, a brewery and other attractions.
Top attractions include the Tree Top Walk and Giant's [giant Karris] Walk, Green's Pool and Elephant Rocks for beaches and swimming holes (sheltered swimming), Walpole Inlet eco boat trips (Google WOW boat tour) etc. All of which have consistent 5 star trip advisor ratings.
