While at the neighbourhood of Salamander Bay, Oaks Pacific Blue Resort with Australia's largest swimming pool offers rooms where you can dive right in straight from your balcony and perfect for the family or those after something more casual with fast food outlets, a shopping centre, tavern and ten pin bowling nearby. The beautiful headland walk, following the water from Corlette beach to the Anchorage, is not to be missed. Drop in for a morning coffee or afternoon drink and, if you look up, you could be lucky enough to see local koalas along the way. You can follow the water and walk all the way into Nelson Bay.
