Nic and Robynne have owner built their dream lodge in the hills. The project was a true labour of love that took a verrry long time. Whitelodge is in the heart of the forest on one of the most beautiful, quiet scenic roads in the hills. It’s location is key to providing an outstanding base for a Ranges getaway. Within very close proximity to the 3 major wedding reception venues in the hills, it is ideal for family accommodation. Whether it’s walking, road trips or bicycle riding, it’s all on the doorstep. Forest walking tracks at your front door, all local attractions within a short drive or walk to local cafes, restaurants, great shops, Puffing Billy, magnificent gardens, galleries, picnic grounds, wedding venues......or just peace and quiet...all one hour from Melbourne CBD You will need a car, however there are 2 villages, Sassafras and Kallista within walking distance ( medium fitness needed, around 2kms each, some hills) bicycle riding is popular for experienced riders with good fitness levels. Taxis and Uber’s are getting better but not the most reliable, booking ahead is advised. There are local buses and Belgrave train station is the nearest to get you to and from Melbourne. The train station is approx 5.7kms from the house.
