Willow Cabin is a sweet & luxurious self contained mountain cabin overlooking hills, valley views and the para-gliders of Rosins Lookout from the expansive timber deck. We offer guests privacy and comfort in a naturally beautiful setting. Perfect for couples, we offer guests wine & chocolates on arrival, fresh herbs and flowers. Lounging on the deck offers sightings of wallabies & native birds. Lamington National Park, part of World Heritage Gondwana Rainforest is only 10klm away offering walks, wildlife & views and has recently reopened after bushfires. I am a visual artist - inspired by the beautiful Scenic Rim in Queensland. I have lived and exhibited in many countries but have recently returned to this captivating mountain region for the heavenly views, the climate and wildlife.
Previously, I had been a successful host in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, meeting many international guests in my apartment, which I totally enjoyed.
Now, together with my CO-HOST, we have created a romantic and secluded get-away cabin at the rear of our property surrounded by trees opening on to glorious mountain views. We have enjoyed creating a living space that is serene, peaceful and luxuriously comfortable.
We hope our guests become acquainted with our beautiful Beechmont in the Scenic Rim.
My life motto is 'each day is a precious gift'
Beechmont residents live in the Gold Coast Hinterland, only 40 minutes away from the golden beaches of the Gold Coast. This green mountain plateau is home to dairy farmers, families, artists and wildlife enthusiasts & lies between the Lamington Plateau and Tamborine Mountain. First settlers flocked to the area in the 1800s and used the white beech trees, once prolific here, for timber.
Our area is a haven and destination for bushwalkers who travel through the town enroute to the Binna Burra section of Lamington National Park. It's popular place for hangliders and paragliders taking off from nearby Rosin’s Lookout. Because of its small population, Beechmont exudes country charm with its old-style community hall and country markets. The local Yugambeh people lived and loved this area.
