Our quiet suite is tastefully decorated with pieces we have collected from around the world - rugs from Turkey, Italian ornaments, pieces from Iran and Oman, scattered with antiques from the UK and France. We only have one suite, so you are guaranteed exclusivity and peace and quiet. Our focus however is on the food we provide. We have developed a passion for "inconvenience" food which means that nearly everything we serve is home made - think home cured bacon and salmon, fresh eggs from our hens, sourdough bread, English Muffins and crumpets made right here on the premises. It keeps our guests coming back for more. Winston Cottage Paris is our BUDGET offering. It is aimed at the younger market who are used to/happy with shared bathroom facilities. The basic rate does not include breakfast although this can be arranged with prior notice. As the room is downstairs from the entry to the house it is not suitable for older people or people with disabilities. Also, please note that "Paris" is NOT pet friendly. If you are travelling with your dog, you will need to book the Winston Suite, which is suitable for pets. Please note too that many of the photos here on Booking dot com are of the Winston Suite - Paris does not have the balcony with the rural views.
We are keen travellers ourselves and having enjoyed the delights of Bed and Breakfast accommodation in various countries around the world, we decided to share our home and experiences with other like minded people.
Palmwoods is in the geographic heart of the Sunshine Coast so it makes the ideal spot to base yourself to explore all the coast has to offer. The village itself has retained the true Queensland character and is about to undergo a major rejuvenation including a new town square and improved traffic flows. There are wonderful restaurants and cafes as well as some niche shops to enjoy. Yet all of this is only 15 minutes from the heart of the coast at Maroochydore or 20 minutes to the fabulous beach at Mooloolaba. In the other direction, just a 7 minute drive takes you into the main street of Montville, one of the coast's jewels, with not a chain store in sight and views to die for.
