We are happy to say that we now have another suite opened.
The Willy Wagtail suite and the Magpie suite, both are tastefully decorated .
When Paul and I started decorating your rooms we thought it would be nice to mix old fashioned with new and this way keeping the ambiance of history that York is about.
Your suites are very private and you have your own private bathroom.
Tea and coffee facilities and some extra treats in the fridge.
We have tried to think of everything you may need in your room.
Whist staying in our home the under cover patio with BBQ and two gas rings at your disposal.
If you want a quiet night in and want to cook a BBQ Paul and I will supply the utensils .
We have a great butcher in town and a fantastic IGA for everything you need.
For those who feel energetic there is a table tennis table there for you to warm yourselves up on these chilly nights.
Or you may feel like walking up Mt Brown which is right on our door step to watch the sunset.
Paul and I have been living in York now for eight years gee those four years have flown by and we still love it ..
We have been coming to York most weekends for many years we love the history, old buildings, museums, eatery's ,and most of all the friendly people who live here.
York is a lovely town and we are sure anyone who visits here will leave relaxed and refreshed when they return home .
And that is the reason we decided to have our bed and breakfast here in beautiful York.
Paul and I have always wanted to run a bed and breakfast and now all the children are grown up and married we thought this is our chance to follow our dream .
All the children have helped us in one way or another to start our bed and breakfast .
In the eight years that have been running the B&B, we have met really lovely people and learnt about where in the world they are from.
Paul and I look forward to meeting many more guests .
There are so many things to see and do in York and you can easily walk from one to the other .
One of my favourite shops is Penny Farthing Sweets, I can never walk passed it without popping in :).
The Old Courthouse and Gaol was built in the 1840s is a must to see.
The Residency Museum is another must it was originally York's Convict Depot.
We have collectable and second-hand shops hopefully to find a treasure to take home .
The Motor Museum is well worth a look too.
The Old Flour Mill is one of the largest and oldest flour mills in WA,.
Now it houses local Art Bric-a-brac, crafts and gift ware .
The list goes on and i am running out of characters .
The Town Hall was build in 1911 a lovely building to look around, it also is where the tourist information is housed.
The staff there can help you with almost any information you need .
