Welcome to this small-scale bed and breakfast where you immediately feel at home. A place where you can relax after a busy working week or just when you want to come and enjoy the Burgundian Mechelen.
The B&B is located in a totally renovated house in a very pleasant neighbourhood, close to all facilities. All facilities are available and you can use the garden. In warm summer weather you can have breakfast outside. We provide a rich breakfast with (organic) products from our own region.
Linda and Jurn are fervent walkers and cyclists and regularly make use of cosy B&Bs during their trips. Linda loves a good chat and good food, and is a real bookworm. She is also a yoga enthusiast. In his spare time, Jurn coordinates a walking and cycling group and likes to go out with a map. Ideal to help you find your way around the green area around Mechelen and in the city.
Small-scale, involved and cosy'. This is how the 'test sleepers' described B&B Het Nekkerhof in the Nekkerspoel district. The Schepvoortstraat is a residential area and by definition very quiet, both day and night.
The name "De Nekker" comes from nikker (a water devil) who, according to legend, lived in the pool and would have "stung" walkers. Legend also has it that Saint Rombout chased the Nekker away.
De Nekker is a sports and recreation area in Mechelen. In addition to the many sports that can be played in sports halls (handball, basketball, volleyball, squash, etc.) or outdoors (e.g. football, hockey, tennis, athletics and minigolf), there is also a small beach on a large pond where water sports can be played and an indoor swimming pool.
Beyond the domain, if you follow the river Dijle, you will find the extensive nature and walking area, the Mechels Broek. Nearby is the large event and exhibition hall Nekkerhal.
