Tsarevets Residence is a boutique guest house in the old town of Veliko Tarnovo in between the monuments of Nicola Piccolo and Velchova Zavera.The house is a cultural monument and has been restored as close to its authentic appearances as possible. It is an example of Bulgarian aristocratism with the typical high ceilings and wooden flooring. That ancient property used to belong to one of the first Bulgarian entrepreneurs and is located in top center of all architectural, and historical landmarks. Each room has a balcony facing Tsarevets and Trapezitsa Fortresses. As one of the oldest cities in Bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo is steeped in five thousand years of history. This small, picturesque city is home to one of Europe’s grandest medieval monuments, the Tsaravets Fortress. The city was built on three hills: Tsaravets, Trapezitsa, and Sveta Gora. Its attractive landscape has the Yantra River running through it. The Old Town and surrounding hills are where you’ll find the majority of the top sights in Veliko Tarnovo. Filled with tourist highlights, it’s a pleasant place to explore on foot. One of the most fun places to visit in Veliko Tarnovo is the Samodovska Charshia Market. This historic marketplace is where local farmers sold their products and produce in the late-19th century. As the market grew more extensive, it spread through cobbled Rakovski Street, eventually encompassing many inns, bakeries, and traditional craft workshops.
