Kunyit 7 Lodge is located at Jetty 2, Kampong Bakut Berumput. We are a home built on stilts and in the Water Village or Kampong Ayer. Its 28 secs boat ride from the waterfront jetty to our place. We are a home in a village, sharing experience. We do not have 5 star facilities but we have 3 loving residents cats inhouse. Please take extra care when you are going up and down the steps of the waterfront or any jetty as it can be very slippery. It is advisable that you do not carry heavy luggage bags as it could be a challenge for you to carry them when the tide is low and when the steps are slippery. Our home is built on this site which belongs to the family since 1926. The current house is 40 years old.We have been open to visitors since 2015 and have closed to 1400 visitors from 60 countries. Be advised that we are a home / Lodge and NOT a hotel. We reside here too. We don't have a TV but you will definitely have a strong bonding time while you are here. We are a jetty away from Water Village cultural and museum gallery. As you sipped your morning coffee, watch the students go and parents go to work, Watch the fishing boats return from sea and the villagers fishing from the boardwalk. There are 36 km of boardwalks and 32 villages and a population of 12k in the water village. immersed in the sunset as the evening call of prayers as you sit at our pantaran. There are schools, clinics, fire department, police station n etc here.
