Welcome to paradise! We are a middle-aged quiet husband and wife who enjoy this beautiful and unique part of British Columbia and would like to share it with you. We want you to have a wonderful and memorable time! Escape from the chaos of the big cities and immerse yourself in the tranquility of majestic mountains, beautiful Okanagan Lake, amazing wildlife, clean air, and nature all around you. We are located in a quiet suburb of Vernon, called Westshore Estates, in between Vernon and Kelowna, 25 km from downtown Vernon, 45 km from Kelowna, 2 km from Evely Beach, 5 km from Killiney Beach, 15 km from Fintry Provincial Park with beautiful hiking trails, beaches and a waterfall. All these locations have boat launches.

There is plenty of street parking in front of the house. Please note there is a gravel pathway and natural stone stairs that lead from the street to the house. The length of the pathway is approximately one third of an acre, on a gradual slope and may not be suitable for persons with mobility issues. There is an option to park at the back of the house on a gravel site. We will guide you there upon your arrival. We have a private walk-in basement suite with its own entrance, fully furnished. It can accommodate comfortably up to four people. There is a full private bathroom with a hair dryer and towels, kitchenette with coffee maker, kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, dishes, table and four chairs. Tea and coffee are included. We offer breakfast on the main floor of the house. For an extra fee we can offer a special desert – bread soup with whipped cream (“maizes zupa” - an ancient Latvian recipe). The suite has one queen bed and one queen sofa-bed, WIFI, TV, DVD and CD player, small assortment of reading material and DVDs for both adults and children. Sorry, no cable. The suite is suitable for adults and children as young as 6 years old. There is also a private patio with a small table, loveseat, two chairs, extra stools and impressive bird's eye view. It would be a delight for bird lovers to watch a variety of birds like robins, steller's jays, hummingbirds, colorful warblers and finches, doves, woodpeckers, swallows, quails, ravens and hawks. Deer also visit our property almost daily. The property is landscaped, but not suitable to function as a playground, as it is on a slope and some of the terrain is rocky. However, there is a neighborhood playground within walking distance which has a sports field, playground with slides and swings, covered gazebo, tables, public barbeques and public washrooms.
