We're young parents who adore the region; having grown up spending summers in the area, the Richibucto/Rexton area is now our home away from home. We have family cottages close by and we love boating, bringing the family to the beach, enjoying the beautiful sunrises, sunsets and the stars. This whole area is so amazing that we automatically become more relaxed upon arrival. This cottage is very special to us, we treat it as a second home as we fell in love with it the instant we took possesion. Transforming it into a 'side-hustle' has had its challenges, but is required for us to be able to keep it.
We have been short-term rental hosts for a few years now running a rental from our home, so we bring experience in operation and short-term rental hospitality. We love providing a great experience for guests, we're eager to please and being so very proud of the property, we want people to feel the way we feel about.
As you come in onto Airfield lane, a private road leading to your destination, past the two magnificent European-style log homes and up the hill with Parallel pine trees on each side, you arrive to Tin Roof Landing Retreat. The red steel roof, window trims and garage doors with the greyed cedar shingles will likely be the first characteristics you notice. As you settle and start to gather your surrounding, you will notice the beautiful veranda underneath grapevines with 2 large red muskoka chairs conneced to the breezeway entrance of the cottage. You're likely thinking about going inside to bring your things in, but as you walk down the breezeway you see at the deck extending, then the perennial gardens in the yard, then the fire pit, then the boat launch and then the beautiful river inlet. You look around, there are trees, so much space, so much privacy you hear the birds singing and the sound of your breath... that's it. You have landed.
