This lovely typical Leventina mountain house welcomes you with the warmth of wood, the main element of the whole house, and with many small details that will make you feel at home! Crossing the threshold on the first floor there is a modern custom-made kitchen on the left, with induction hob, oven and dishwasher and everything needed to prepare and serve meals, and in addition a typical wood-fired stove with a cooker. On the right, a large table with bench and chairs is ready to welcome the whole family or a group of friends for a dinner with friends! Going up the ladder, you reach the attic room, where on the left there is a double bed and on the right a relaxation area with satellite TV and sofa, which converts into two single beds for the night. Sober is also an intermediate stage where you can stop along the famous Strada Alta della Leventina (45 km), a trek that starts from Airolo and arrives in Biasca. Faido, reachable in 20 minutes by car from the BAITA DAL GAT, is a small village nestled in the green mountains of Leventina. In Faido there are 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that produces typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher and a dairy of local products. Among the most visited naturalistic landscapes in the area there are the wonderful Piumogna waterfalls, very popular with tourists in summer. For mountain lovers, there are many trekking routes on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno and Carì is 35 mins by car, famous for its ski area which is very popular during the winter.
