Our house is located a quick five minute drive up the mountain in the historic nucleo of Piodina. The home is on three floors, main bedroom on the top floor, bathroom and kitchen in the middle floor and lounge with sofa bed on the bottom floor. We have a beautiful terrace for outside dining and a balcony to take in the breathtaking views and relax. The house was built in the 1800s by my great grandparents. It then belonged to my grandmother before it was passed down to us and in which we lived while our children were small. It was remodeled and restored recently to make a more modern look but with keeping the typical and unique features of Ticino architecture.

I am a kind, laid back guy that loves to meet new people. I travel often and enjoy getting out in the world and experiencing new things. My passion is music and I play several instruments. I like to talk about geography and history and show people around my area. I am a very patient and friendly person. My motto is "why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?" The neighborhood is an historic nucleus located up the mountain from downtown Brissago. It's just a short drive up from the lake and only ten minutes away from Locarno or Cannobio, Italy. Brissago is on the border, so hopping over to Italy is very easy. For those not wanting to use their car, it’s possible to walk up and down the stairs, which takes about 20 minutes to arrive down and maybe a little longer to arrive up the stairs, busses go half-hourly or hourly to Locarno or Canobbio. The surrounding valleys are also easy to reach. Brissago is full of walking trails and hiking up the mountain is a great option.
