Nestled in the idyll of the Appenzell foreland, a historic accommodation stands out not only for its location but also for its charm. This approximately 270-year-old wooden house, located near the picturesque village, enchants with a breathtaking view of Lake Constance. Surrounded by nature and nestled at the foot of hiking trails, including the humorous Witzweg, the house offers an ideal starting point for exploration in the region. From cozy walks in the Biedermeier village of Heiden to adventurous excursions to Lake Constance or the city of St. Gallen – the possibilities are diverse, not least thanks to good public transport connections. The interior of the historic Appenzell house tells its own story in every room. The living and dining room, once an old tavern, is equipped with a historic cast iron stove and features original details like retractable window shutters. With three cozy bedrooms, the accommodation offers enough space for 4 to 5 people and invites you to a relaxing stay. Other amenities include a small garden by a babbling brook and a sunny sitting area on the south side, which is embellished with a fountain, adding a special touch to the outdoor area. The house’s surroundings offer a wide range of leisure activities. For lovers of active holidays, a variety of hiking and mountain biking tours are available.
