Our piece of paradise here in Rarotonga is perfect for travellers wanting quality self-catering accommodation. No loud bars here, but within walking distance to restaurants and cafes. With the beach only 50m away, a great swimming pool, and a guest barbeque, you can park up and not move if you don't want to.

We are Kiwi's and in 2015 relocated to own and manage the Coral Sands Apartments. Having travelled extensively ourselves, we are confident we know what travellers want and desire - that is clean, well-appointed, and well-managed facilities. We enjoy testing out all of the activities and restaurants etc so that we can be informed when our guests ask for advice on what to do and where to go. We are golfers so are members of the local golf club and are managing to fit that into our schedule!

Located on the sunset side of the Island, we are around 5km from the airport, in the area called Arorangi. There are two buses that cruise the Island one called Clockwise and yes, the other is called Anti-clockwise, so if you aren't keen on riding a scooter or driving, this is a good option. Like a lot of Rarotonga, our apartments are in the local neighbourhood, not tucked behind gates, so you get to mix and mingle with the locals. You will hear the church bells ringing from the local church on a Sunday, and often guests will attend a service to experience the beautiful singing. The CITC supermarket is close to the main town of Avarua, and this stocks most things you would require including alcohol, fresh meat, vegetables, and general groceries. The Saturday market close to Avarua is also a great place to pick up fresh produce, breads, fish, and the beautiful Eis (flower necklaces or headwear).
