Casa Mamá Waldy was originally the home of a Cartagena family. Here lived grandma Waldy, her son and his wife and their 5 children and various pets. In the early days it was run by the family and has with time evolved and grown to a hostel with 11 rooms on 2 floors, a rooftop with bar and a shared kitchen. The family and home spirit is dearly kept and we often get the opportunity to host guests that comes back frequently to stay with us since we started.

Casa Mama Waldy; named after the family matriarch, the much loved grandma Waldy, this Getsemani hostel is as close as you will find to a home in Cartagena. Casa Mama Waldy is situated in the ambient neighborhood Getsemani. Nestled in a corner of the historic and culturally rich, Calle de la Sierpe, which snakes its way from the bustle of Plaza de la Trinidad all the way to Parque Centenario. Casa Mama Waldy offers you free WiFi and coffee all day, a well equipped shared kitchen, lounge, patio and a very cosy terrace with bar. An oasis to relax in coming back from your adventures. All rooms comes with private bathrooms, air condition, towels and linen. No hot water. If you have questions about the city or tours the staff will always be there for you! We speak Spanish, English, German and Swedish :) Welcome to Mama Waldy! We will do our best to make you feel at home and help you in any way you need so you can relax, enjoy and explore our beautiful city Cartagena!
