We are an indigenous community nestled in the heart of the Amazon, with a rich history and culture that dates back for thousands of years. Here in our small and simple Pueblo we live in harmony with La Selva, the wild jungle that sustains and nourishes us. The biggest thing that sets us apart from most destinations in La Amazonas is that we are *not* a tourist destination. We are a real village of real indigenous people living our daily lives, of which we are happy to share with you. While we do our best to make you comfortable (we are now proud to offer free wifi via Starlink, a guest refrigerator, and a working guest toilet), we are not a luxury resort and resources can be limited. Once you understand that, you get in return a once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience and opportunity to truly connect with an indigenous people and live off the land – the most authentic Amazon travel experience one could ask for. If you do not speak Spanish, make sure you bring a person who can translate to capture all of the local wisdom. Since we are a small rural community we don{t have an ATM here and we don't accept payments by cards. Please remember to bring all the cash that you may need with you.

Gustavo is the village shaman, your host, and tour guide (if you desire). He has vast knowledge of the jungle that has been passed down through generations, and is always eager to share. With over 30 years of guide experience, he can take you on Peruvian river boat expeditions, multi-day hikes through the jungle, or teach you survival skills with nothing but a machete and the jungle’s natural resources. You can speak with Gustavo before your stay about your interests & needs.

Swimming in the Amazon river, playing games with the kids, foraging for all the wondrous fruits and healing plants that grow in the jungle, or lounging in a hammock in the sun are just a few of the daily activities that we partake in. - To get here, you must take a boat - the Barco service, which runs many routes each day. For more information about the public boats service ask in the office of Transportes Unidos in the Port of Leticia - Basic accommodations all include a bed in our guest house (equipped with mosquito net), access to guest bathroom and the guest kitchen, and coffee. - Wifi and power run from 3-9pm daily, while our village generator is running. Weekend hours are often extended. - If you book any tours, we also include 3 meals a day, with ingredients prepared fresh from our own crops and waters (yucca, plantains, fresh caught fish), and Gustavo will take care of your boat ride to get here. - There are many other activities that can be arranged, such as lessons in our traditional crafts or ceremonial song & dance celebrations. - We don’t have much, but we are happy to share it with you. We of course ask in return your sensitivity and respect for our families and wildlife that share this beautiful space. The house is in a village of houses and it is common to here noises like dogs and chickens during the night and early morning. - Spanish is the only language spoken throughout the village. If you don't speak any Spanish then dictionary, translation apps, lots of patience and a sense of humor are all travel essentials!
