Surrounded by tropical gardens, Las Olas is a lovely compound of four separate cabinas just steps off the beach in Esterillos Oeste. Like a small boutique hotel each cabina is a private studio space with access to the beautiful common areas to visit and relax perhaps with other guests. Our gated property features our private home and three large studio cabinas, two on the pool and one on the front garden, Each cabina is designed to accommodate two adults and two children maximum. Each has a kitchen, 2 gas burners, full sized fridge, queen bed, pull out sofa, closet and desk area. A huge palm frond rancho gives you a space for napping or family dinners. Patios with fans invite you to lounge. The turquoise pool with splashing waterfall is the center piece of the courtyard. We rent each cabina separately or please inquire if you would prefer to have the entire property for your group. PLEASE Be sure to read the house rules, we want all our guests to be very happy so take a minute to make sure that Las Olas is the best property for you! This is a family home and we value family time. At any given moment there may be kids, grandkids, friends, dogs and fun! Please feel free to join in! We do ask that our guests keep their voices low in the pool and patio areas after 9:00 pm and before 7 am. If you are in Esterillos to party, get drunk, smoke or vape please choose another property. The cabinas do not have TV. Please feel free to enjoy books, games or movies on your own lap tops.

My husband Kenny is a commercial fisherman and has logged over 3000 crossings of the Santa Barbara Channel. Together we enjoy the nature all around us!

Esterillos Oeste is a very small, very quiet fishing village located on the central pacific coast of Costa Rica. Our home, Las Olas is in a modest family neighborhood. This is NOT JACO OR TAMARINDO. We are not in an upscale gated community. If you want a lot of action Esterillos is not for you. If you love Nature, the beach is endless with wide sandy expanses to the south and striking rock pools to the north. We enjoy fun surf on breaks that range from rolling to ripping. On an early morning walk you will likely encounter a wide variety of wildlife encounters such as Scarlett Macaws, Green Parrots, White faced monkeys and Coati Mundi. This is a very typical small fishing village. There are some nice homes and also a lot of very poor people. We have 5 wonderful restaurants all within walking distance, 2 small but well stocked groceries, we can arrange for massage and tours. We are close to many Waterfalls, National Parks and Private Nature Parks. The main road is paved just two years ago but all side roads including our short street are dirt. We once had a guest describe our neighborhood in a reveiw as "unimpressive". If you need an impressive neighborhood, gated community, or casinos and tourist shops, Esterillos is not for you.
