We are originally from the US and our family has been living in Costa Rica since 2019. We're excited to host you at our wonderful beach side bungalows steps away from the Pacific Ocean!

***Please note that the driveway to the property is quite steep, and the roads around Makanas Beach Bungalows (and much of the surrounding area) are dirt roads, so we highly recommend a rental car with 4×4 drive, and not a sedan. Taxis are available too if you prefer not to rent an ATV or car.***
Makanas Beach Bungalows features beachside bungalows and a studio apartment near one of the most beautiful beaches in Santa Teresa. Our short access to the beach is ideal to have a nice swim in the natural tide pools or walk to the best surf points in the area. Enjoy sunsets, ocean sounds, and the jungle in a private place with nothing other than nature around you. Bungalows and a studio apt with AC, private baths, patio, Wi-Fi and kitchen (studio only).

We are located towards the end of Santa Teresa, with only a few restaurants within walking distance. The town itself is 12km long, and we recommend having transportation to best explore the area. Taxis are available as well, but it's generally better to either have a rental car or ATV to get around at your own pace. If you are interested in an ATV rental, please let us know and we can arrange for one to be delivered to you.
