Tres Corazones is the perfect place for women traveling solo, and kids, lots of crafting materials and space to create during your “down time.” My goal is to welcome and help all guests create amazing memories while providing a beautiful, restful, and safe space to enjoy their time in Puerto Carrillo/Playa Carrillo. While an on-site host is not for everyone, it can offer great comfort to know personal belongings are safe, and there is someone to care for any issue that may arise, as well as guide guests toward restaurants, activities, and sites to elevate their stay. I enjoyed a 30-year career in education, teaching at all levels from elementary to high school, before moving to Costa Rica, and now spend time teaching English to local adults and young people. Working in the garden, hiking, and ocean swimming also add enjoyment to each day!

Bosques Del Lago is a sweet, friendly, walkable, and quiet neighborhood of unique homes, with a mix of year-round residents and rentals. There are security cameras throughout, and the neighbors care well for this lovely area. A car is necessary to visit neighboring towns. The city bus passes the neighborhood often and offers an inexpensive option for exploring. The town of Carrillo is ~1/2 mile from Tres Corazones where you will find fresh pastries and exceptional coffee, a pharmacy, a fruit and veggie shop, a few stores for general ítems, and a handfull of restaurants, including typical Costa Rican food at Soda La Plaza. It is not as busy a town as our neighbor, Sámara, but you can find everything you need in Puerto Carrillo.
