The capital of São Vicente, Mindelo, is known as the cultural capital of Cape Verde. People visit the city because of its exiting nightlife, with an incredible high quality offer of live music. Or for the carnival of Mindelo, which is considered to be the best of the country. Immerse yourself in the colourful city of Mindelo, renowned for its lively music scene and enchanting colonial architecture, while savouring the enticing aroma of local cuisine and grooving to the infectious beats of traditional morna music.

Apart from Laginha Beach in Mindelo, most of the other beaches on São Vicente are a real treat for windsurfers and divers. Caravela bar/restaurant is the place for you on the Laginha beach front, if you like action and appreciate a place with natives and tourist. Mercado Municipal is a feast for the senses that will make you feel alive. From the aromas of exotic spices to the hustle and bustle of vendors selling their wares, it’s an experience you won’t forget. For a refreshing drink with a view of the beach, go to Kalimba beach club. The beach bar is the trendiest bar on Laginha beach. Metalo Restaurant is our favorite restaurant with live music here every evening. The food is also delicious and it is very affordable.
