When coming with a dog, please note that the apartment is only reachable via a outside staircase, so your dog needs to climb the stairs or be caried up.

The Alte Schmiedemühle is located in the mountain village of Zorge, a picturesque town with mostly half-timbered houses located in the valley of the river Zorge (which is right outside your window) with mountains on both sides of the valley. There is a local bakery and a few restaurants on walking distance and there are plenty of hiking paths starting in the village. For public transport the bus stop is only 10 meters away. And for those hot summer days the huge public village outdoor pool, filled with natural springwaters, is located literally just around the corner. The bigger area is ideal for walking, hiking, biking and mountainbiking in all seasons. The winter ski slopes can be found in the neighboring towns of Hohegeiss, Braunlage and Sankt Andreasberg, all within a 10 to 25 minute drive.
