Between the Nürburgring and the Moselle wine region: Old half-timbered house, completely renovated with natural materials, this holiday home offers every comfort you could wish for during your break. The charm, the style, the equipment - everything has been restored as it was originally, but WITH a modern bathroom and kitchen and TV with Disney+ and infrared cabin. Ulmen is an ideal starting point for hiking and mountain biking. The Eifel offers amateur photographers a variety of motifs. A little trip back in time paired with the highest level of comfort. Quarry stones, half-timbered walls with clay, wooden windows - everything is like it was 200 years ago - but with a modern bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. On the patio in the courtyard you can enjoy the last rays of sunshine with a glass of wine. You only live on the lower floor. The infrared cabin is located in the former stable. Wellness in the stable, so to speak - with a wooden lounger so that you can go in twice. Two bathrobes are in the closet. You couldn't live healthier: natural materials such as quarry stone and clay walls, wooden beams, wooden floorboards or tiles, which we have removed from a disgusting covering, but have retained all their worn charm. Comfortable seating furniture with a subtle light invite you to browse or watch TV. The house may be on a street, but the newly installed insulation ensures quiet, as do the blacked-out, noise-reducing curtains. When the sun is shining, the light falls into the living room and sets accents on the walls, which tell their very own story with all the different materials. You will of course find explanations about this in the house. A special highlight is the vaulted cellar, which invites you to play and have a romantic conversation by the open fire and maybe a beer. We are known in the Eifel for our beer! (Bitburger or e.g. Mendiger Vulkanhausbier).

You should fully enjoy your time-out and relax, so we won't be a nuisance. But we're here for you if you need us. We really enjoyed renovating the house. In general, we love to offer people a break and to do it as comfortably and comfortably as possible. The nature of the Eifel offers the perfect environment to relax or experience little adventures: hiking, mountain biking and/or getting a taste of racing at the Nürburgring and/or enjoying a glass of wine on the Moselle: Ulmen is ideal. We both also enjoy everything: hiking, mountain biking, a glass of wine (or beer) and the wonderful nature - with friends or as a couple. Our guests can therefore ask us about excursion destinations at any time: we know them!

The Ulmener Maar is part of the UNESCO Geo-Heritages worldwide and is located in the UNESCO Geopark Vulkaneifel. The tunnel, which finally opened in April 2023, leads from one of the oldest volcanoes in Germany (the Weiher) to the youngest volcano in Germany (the Maar). It is another sensation because here you can admire the different eruptive layers. Nürburgring, Cochem an der Mosel, Dauner Maare - all within 20 minutes by car. Manderscheid Castles, Eltz Castle (opposite direction), Bürresheim Castle can be reached in 40 minutes. The famous Calmont region on the Moselle can also be reached in 30 minutes.
