Company information

The GOETHE-Institut is a place to learn a lot about Germany: history, culture and of course the German language. It is not unusual to meet people out of 60 and more countries at a time at the Institut and as well as in the Guesthouse. When you like to meet the world without travelling abroad, to choose our guesthouse for your overnight stay. We do have guesthouses at Freiburg, Mannheim, Göttingen, Schwäbisch Hall, Dresden and Munich.

Property information

The guesthous of our GOETHE-Institut Freiburg is located in the district "Stühlinger", well knwon as close to the main station and city as well as to the university. The flair of that distict is a combination of pubs, parks and the "E-Werk" as local event location. We do offer single and twin bed rooms on three floors, each a combination of sleep and living room, equipted with bed, linen, cupboard, desk, chair, bathroom en suite incl. towels, own fridge and nessecary china, There is no posibilty to stay with us in self-isolation! You need to have a negativ test to stay with us in corona-times. Please do check with RKI and the embassy for further information. For "meeting the world at one place" do not miss to come to the common rooms and kitchen. You can use the kitchen for preparing your own meal and learning a lot about other culture while cooking maybe together.

Neighbourhood information

For your meals - there is a restaurant just next to the guesthouse, several pubs in the district as well as two supermarkets with bakery. After visiting all the places of interst in the city (Münster, Altstadt, little rivers, museum) you find a lot more close to the town. Freiburg is surrounded by the picturesque nature of the Black Forest as well as scenic vineyards. Leisure activities that are reachable with 20 km include mountain biking, hiking and swimming.
