The well-known Baltic seaside resorts of the "Fischland-Darß-Zingst", such as Ahrenshoop, Wustrow, Dierhagen or Prerow, can be reached in 45 to 60 minutes by car. The happiness of the many students, who sit at the mole in the evening grilling and enjoy the warm summer nights with a "beer", is highly infectious. The scenery of the city harbour offers an almost unbeatable setting. Rostock is not only beautiful because of its old districts, but also because it is one of the sunniest cities in Germany, so it is sometimes difficult to take advantage of the plenty of opportunities for shopping.
