Traditional, organic construction of wood and natural stone, which translates the charm of the region into modern design and stylish interior. The CHALET combines comfortable living with exclusive elements.
This hideaway is ideal for 4 to 5 guests (5th person on request), with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A special highlight is the Finnish bio sauna as well as the gas fireplace, which provides the extra cozy and romantic atmosphere in the spacious living area (living room, dining area, kitchen) on the first floor. Among many amenities, it still offers a spacious room for yoga sessions, business meetings, incentives or just free space for your kids to run around. The south terrace and the garden with an unobstructed view to the Alps invite you to dream away.
The internationally known extreme climber and adventurer STEFAN GLOWACZ grew up in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and started his world career as a competitive climber and later his numerous expeditions from there. In 1990 he acquired the House VINTAGE in Grainau, which represented a haven for him after his long travels. In 2021 he built the exclusive organic woodhouse CHALET on the attached property.
The organic wooden house was designed and furnished by interior designer Tanja Valerien-Glowacz herself, together with her husband Stefan Glowacz. As creative director, Tanja Valerien-Glowacz has traveled all over the world and been inspired by the different cultures and architectures. She implements these influences and her ideas with great collected interior pieces at the CHALET.
The detached, organic wooden house is located in the middle of the romantic alpine village GRAINAU (near Garmisch) at the foot of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, only 1 minute walk to the Zugspitz train. The location is perfect to reach, even without car and an ideal starting point for summer and winter sports, whether mountain biking, hiking, climbing, swimming, skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing.
