On the farm, we make an effort to take care of the nature that surrounds us. That is why we do what we can for biodiversity, sustainability and ecology. This means that you can meet different animals, birds and insects with us. We can't rule out a wrinkled sheet, as they are air-dried and the iron rarely used. We have solar cells on the roof, and use wood from our own forest in our lighthouse. No one is perfect in relation to the climate, but we learn all the time, and continuously take various measures that help us, the farm and our guests in a greener direction.

In Himmerland, close to the village of Skørbæk, Vadskærgård is located on a 110,000 m2 large, scenic plot with forest, bog and lake. The place is perfect for those of you who need to find grounding and renewed energy here. The guest house you will be staying in was originally part of the old cowshed. We have thrown out the animals and the straw, but kept the original vaults, which give a cozy and charming atmosphere. The guest house was given a makeover in 2022 with a focus on minimalist decor and recycling. We have tried to draw nature inside, but it is best experienced right outside the door. In connection with one of the living rooms, there is direct access to a private terrace. You can also move to the other side of the building, where there is an opportunity to grill and make a fire, which invites you to cozy evenings with a view of the calm waters of the lake and the beautiful valley. In general, both the farm and the Ådalslandet are characterized by magnificent nature, which you can enjoy regardless of whether you are experienced in the outdoors or have a newfound interest in getting out in the open air. Sleeping places In addition to the two double beds and the single bed, it is possible to save on the sofa bed. A mattress for the floor or a cot can also be arranged. Skørbæk is part of Ådalslandet, which is a unique attraction for nature lovers. There are beautiful hiking trails throughout the area, and there are plenty of opportunities for both fishing and canoeing or kayaking. The area is also perfect for getting in the saddle, whether you're for cycle paths, open fields or mountain biking in the forests.
