tARTustays is more than a short-term rental service — it’s a cultural experience rooted in the creative pulse of Tartu. Our mission is to provide high-quality, design-forward accommodations in the city center while simultaneously supporting the local artistic community and promoting meaningful travel. We also pride ourselves on providing personal check-in and curated local recommendations to help guests feel at home in Tartu. Each of our apartments is thoughtfully curated in collaboration with a local artist, transforming everyday stays into immersive encounters with contemporary Estonian art. From bold murals to subtle interventions, each space tells a unique story — one that reflects the personality of its creator and the soul of the city itself. Through this collaboration, 10% of all rental income goes directly to the artists involved, helping to fund their practice and encourage sustainable careers in the arts. In addition, we prioritize local suppliers, craftspeople, and eco-conscious partners to keep the benefits of our work circulating within the Tartu community. We believe that travel should create value — not just for the visitor, but for the place they come to. Our apartments on Ülikooli Street, right on the edge of Tartu’s Old Town, are created in collaboration with few distinctive local artists: Kairo, Maikro, Ralf Sannikov, and Viktoria Berezina. Each room is named after an artist and reflects the spirit of their work. All apartments are located on the 3rd floor (stair access only) and do not have balconies, but they are bright and airy. Guests can use free bicycle parking in the courtyard and paid A-zone street parking nearby. Each unit features air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchenette and modern comforts. In cooperation with Mikrogalerii, we’ve crafted a living art experience that goes beyond the apartment walls. The artists' works can also be found throughout the city – on Tartu’s streets and in the emerging creative district known as Mikro-Venice. tARTu apartments is deeply embedded in the city’s vibrant art scene. To us, art is a value – not just decoration. That’s why we share 10% of our profit with the artists, offering them not only visibility but real economic support. Many of the artworks displayed in the apartments are available for purchase if you wish to take a piece of Tartu home with you. All apartments are fully equipped and thoughtfully furnished with modern comforts: WiFi, kitchen essentials, a French press, bed linen, towels. A washing machine is available in the common area. We offer personal check-in and curated local recommendations – helping you feel truly present in tARTu as a part of a culture.
